Solrød Center finds the winners of “Empty a supermarket in one minute”

Solrød Center has had great success with an entertaining and different campaign at the beginning of 2026. Over 400 participants took part in the competition, where the goal was to find “Mr. Minute” in one of the center’s supermarkets. The prize was both unique and fast-paced: One full minute to freely fill a shopping cart in a supermarket – a competition we dubbed “Empty a supermarket in one minute”.

Now the four lucky winners have been found, and they have all redeemed their prizes in Solrød Center’s supermarkets – to the great joy of both participants and spectators.

The first winner, Mikkel from Solrød, got one minute in MENY. Here, things were going full speed as he whizzed through the store with great energy. Family and friends were there to cheer, which created a festive atmosphere. Mikkel managed to fill the cart with goods worth almost DKK 4,000.

The second winner, Nicky – also from Solrød – had won one minute in SuperBrugsen. He went about it more strategically with a planned route through, among other things, the meat and wine departments. However, there was also room for an important – and slightly more fun – item: a large teddy bear from the toy department, which he had been asked to bring in advance by his daughter. Nicky managed to take items worth over DKK 5,000, so he subsequently had to reduce his purchases slightly to comply with the maximum amount of DKK 5,000.

Third winner, Else, got one minute in Coop 365 in Solrød. Things didn’t go smoothly here either – the cart was quickly filled with everything from meat and coffee to almonds. Else and her husband place great importance on shopping locally and emphasize that it helps create a vibrant center and an attractive local environment.

The fourth and final winner, Morten from Solrød, had won one minute in Netto. Having just returned from vacation, it was an extra pleasant surprise to be among the lucky ones. Morten’s shopping cart was filled with everything from wine and chocolate to fish, meat and chlorine.

All four winners are local citizens from Solrød, and Solrød Center’s stores send a big thank you to the many participants who helped make the competition a success.

The campaign emphasizes the message that it pays to shop locally. An active retail scene helps to create life in the city center and maintain the area’s attractiveness. Perhaps a similar campaign will return in the future.
